Authorization of use
For authorization of use, each user receives an OVGU account with a user name and a password.
Employees
When you are hired as an employee, an OVGU account (incl. e-mail address) is automatically created. The OVGU account must be activated independently via the account service portal.
Students
With enrollment, the user name, password and e-mail address for the general server and PC pool are automatically assigned. The OVGU account must be activated independently in the Account Service Portal. Immediately after exmatriculation, the account, e-mail address and data are deactivated on the corresponding servers and deleted after a short grace period.
Non-members of the university
Guests can apply for an OVGU account at the IT Service Point with appropriate proof.
