Setting up eduroam on Android
- mobile device with Wi-Fi adapter
- You have a valid OVGU-Account at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg or an institution participating in a roaming network.
- Network connection via Wi-Fi is configured for the automatic obtaining of an IP address via DHCP.
- Installed certificate: T-TeleSec GlobalRoot Class 2
Security Information
Make sure that a CA certificate is always specified for all connections that you have configured for 802.1X networks ( Wi-Fi ). The default setting "no specification" must not be left. Otherwise the device will connect to any server with any certificate without further verification. After connecting to the server, user data (user name, password, challenge response) is transmitted for the authentication methods EAP-TTLS (PAP, MSCHAPv2) and PEAP (MSCHAPv2).
