Description
Overleaf is a web-based LaTeX editor that enables users to create and edit scientific documents—such as term papers, theses, research articles, or poster presentations—directly in the browser. Since no local installation is required, projects can be accessed and edited at any time from any internet-connected device.
The university provides all students and staff with a campus license for Overleaf Professional. Anyone who successfully signs in via the OVGU Single Sign-On automatically receives access to the full set of Professional features. No additional registration or manual activation is required.
Overleaf offers a wide range of features designed to support academic writing, including:
-
Real-time collaboration: Multiple users can work on the same document simultaneously, with version control and tracked changes.
-
Automatic compilation: Documents are continuously compiled into PDF while you write, allowing immediate preview of all changes.
-
Template library: Access to a large collection of professional templates for academic papers, theses, presentations, posters, and journal submissions.
-
Integrated packages and libraries: Common LaTeX packages and libraries are available without the need for local installation.
-
Project management: Projects can be organized, shared, and archived efficiently.
