Kerberos

For security reasons, two Kerberos systems for central authentication are operated at the URZ.

• Heimdal-Kerberos based on Linux
  Kerberos-Server:
  • lem.urz.uni-magdeburg.de
  • strugazki.urz.uni-magdeburg.de
  • bowles.urz.uni-magdeburg.de
• Active Directory based on Windows

Passwords are kept synchronous by using the account service portal.
