The IT Service Point is located in the entrance area of the computer center (building 26.1 room 003). It is the central contact point for students and employees who need personal support in solving IT service problems.

The previous VPN access via Cisco AnyConnect (vpn.ovgu.de) and openconnect (adit.ovgu.de) will no longer be supported and will be discontinued as of December 14, 2024.
Starting September 2, 2024, the University Computing Centre (URZ) has been offering a new VPN access through eduVPN.
eduVPN, developed by the pan-European research network GÉANT, provides enhanced security and cross-platform support for secure access to OVGU resources, as well as easy access to other European research networks.
The University Computing Centre opens the IT-Service-Point for you all year round.

The URZ is closed on weekends and public holidays.
Booking of the computer pools for teaching is possible from Monday to Thursday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. On Fridays, booking is possible from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The URZ staff can usually be found in their offices during core working hours.
During the closing period over the turn of the year, as well as at Easter, different opening hours usually apply. You will find the corresponding information under News.
